Senior Pastor – Houston, TX

    Greenhouse Community Church in Houston, Texas, is actively looking for a new Senior Pastor. The primary responsibilities of the position will be preaching, shepherding, and leading in outreach to the community. We primarily seek a man with a heart for God who will teach others to think great things of God. We also seek a man with a love for and an ability to work with an ethnically and spiritually diverse congregation. A candidate already licensed with the C&MA is preferred; but all candidates must be willing and able to meet licensing and ordination requirements with the C&MA. Greenhouse Community Church is an ethnically diverse congregation of 70 – 100 people with many opportunities for discipleship.

    Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States and the most culturally diverse. We are located in a growing residential and business area on the west side of the city.     • Preach expositional sermons for two worship services each Sunday; teach in other settings such as small groups
    • Shepherd the flock of God
    • Lead in outreach efforts to the community
    • Seminary degree preferred; other combinations of education and experience will be considered
    • Experience in pastoral ministry with positive track record
    • Desire to love and work with a congregation of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds anddegrees of spiritual maturity
    • Demonstrated ability to build up the local church and develop leaders
    • Team leader committed to the principle of a plurality of elders
    • Evangelistic heart
    • Love for missions both at home and abroad
    • Long term vision to plant churches
