We believe that God calls some to lead His Church in every generation. When He does, we are committed to come alongside them by financially investing with them for the training required to fulfill their calling and serve as a licensed worker in the Alliance South Central District.
The following scholarships are available:
ASC Matching Scholarship (for all Licensing students)
This scholarship seeks to match the local church’s financial contribution toward a licensee’s required education and training up to $250 per semester. This is available to all licensees, no matter the program (ACLD, LEAD, Traditional Mentoring Program). LEAD Students can now automatically receive the matching scholarship once their church has confirmed their own support. If availing for other programs, please fill in application (ask Norma for pdf application) and email to ASC district office. The disbursement of this scholarship is in the form of reimbursement to the sponsoring church upon acknowledgement to the district’s finance office of their semester contribution.
Relational Weekend Retreat Matching Scholarship (for non-LEAD Ordinands)
ASC values emotional and relational health for its workers and their spouses, therefore, it requires assessments for licensing to help our licensed workers grow in their personal relational intelligence. We have partnered with LEAD’s Relational Weekend Retreat to provide these assessments and care. This scholarship seeks to match the local sponsoring church’s financial contribution toward this retreat up to $400 per couple, and $300 for single participant. The disbursement of this scholarship is in the form of reimbursement to the sponsoring church upon acknowledgement to the district’s finance office of their contribution.
Scott Borderud Leadership Scholarship
A scholarship fund has been established in honor of Dr. Scott Borderud to give financial assistance to licensed pastors pursuing ongoing education and training, or otherwise expressing other financial need. There is a limited amount of scholarship funds available every year. Scholarship will be awarded twice a year, on August 1 and January 1. Deadlines to apply are July 1 and December 1, respectively.
